Tragedy in Andhra Pradesh, Jabardasth Comedian Bobby Dies in Road Accident

A horrific road accident on the Rajahmundry–Kovvur road-cum-railway bridge has plunged Andhra Pradesh into deep grief. Popular Jabardasth comedian Lakshminarayana, popularly known as Bobby, lost his life after two motorcycles collided head-on. Police confirmed that two other youngsters also died in the accident. The incident occurred on Monday night (February 2, 2026) when three youths from Kovvur were riding on a single bike to Rajahmundry to watch a movie. At the same time, Bobby was travelling on his motorcycle from the opposite direction, leading to a severe collision. Bobby suffered critical head injuries and died on the spot due to excessive blood loss.

Bobby gained widespread recognition through television shows such as Jabardasth and Sridevi Drama Company, along with several entertainment programs hosted by anchor Suma. His sudden demise has left the film and television fraternity in shock. Soon after the news broke, several Jabardasth comedians and colleagues expressed their condolences on social media. Anchor Suma rushed from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry and paid her last respects to Bobby, later consoling his grieving family members. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
