The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition related to the Tirumala Laddu controversy. The petition was filed by Manuru Srinivas, seeking directions to restrain individuals holding constitutional positions from making public comments and spreading allegations regarding the issue. The matter was heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice Justice Surya Kant, which examined the arguments presented before the court. The petitioner had also urged the court to stop allegations claiming that animal fat or harmful chemicals were present in the Tirupati Laddu and to take action against those spreading false information.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice made key observations, questioning whether the petitioner was an expert to conclusively claim that animal fat was mixed in the laddu. The bench noted that an investigation into the Tirumala Laddu matter is already being conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation through a Special Investigation Team. The court advised the petitioner that if he possessed any credible evidence related to the issue, it should be submitted directly to the CBI for investigation rather than seeking further directions from the Supreme Court.
