

Panchayats from Telangana have gained national recognition for their outstanding performance in rural development and sustainable governance. Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP) awards announced by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, several panchayats from the state have secured prestigious honors.
Motukupalli Gram Panchayat, located in Kotepalli mandal of Vikarabad district, received the award in the “Good Governance” category. The recognition was granted for its excellence in transparent administration, public participation and effective implementation of development programs at the grassroots level. Similarly, Fasalwadi Gram Panchayat in Sangareddy mandal of Sangareddy district was selected for a national award in the “Women-Friendly Panchayat” category, acknowledging its efforts in promoting women’s empowerment, safety and welfare initiatives.
These awards are presented by the central government to recognize panchayats that are leading in achieving rural development and sustainable development goals across the country. Expressing her happiness over Telangana receiving awards in two categories, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka congratulated the people, public representatives, officials and village-level staff of Motukupalli and Fasalwadi Gram Panchayats. She stated that such achievements would serve as an inspiration for other panchayats to strive for excellence.
