

Jana Sena Party has announced a major push in the Telangana municipal elections by contesting in as many as 336 wards and divisions across the state. Acting on the directions of party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the party aims to strengthen its grassroots presence and establish its political footprint in Telangana. The municipal polls, scheduled to be held on the 11th of this month, are seen as a crucial opportunity for Jana Sena to assert its presence.
With election authorities approving the nominations, party candidates have launched their campaign across municipalities. All Jana Sena candidates will contest on the party’s official symbol, the ‘Glass’. According to the party, candidates are contesting in significant numbers across districts, including Karimnagar Municipal Corporation with 56 candidates, Nizamabad 48, Nalgonda 46, Mahabubnagar 44, Khammam 17, Warangal 20, Rangareddy 21 and Kothagudem 22 wards. As a partner in the ruling coalition in Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena is now keen on expanding its political influence in Telangana as well.
