

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has appointed Sanjiv Khanna as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He previously served as Director of Refineries within the company and had been handling additional CMD responsibilities since the tenure of G. Krishnakumar ended on April 30, 2025. The company informed stock exchanges that Khanna officially assumed charge following confirmation from the Petroleum Ministry, effective April 9.
He will continue in the role until May 31, 2029 or until further orders. Khanna is a chemical engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and holds a postgraduate degree in Financial Management from the University of Mumbai. His leadership is expected to strengthen BPCL’s operational and strategic growth.
