

India’s Greco-Roman wrestlers delivered an impressive performance at the Asian Wrestling Championships by adding three more medals to their tally. Nitesh Siwach secured a silver medal, while Prince and Sachin Sahrawat clinched bronze medals in their respective categories. Their achievements further strengthened India’s presence in the Greco-Roman division of the tournament.
In the 97 kg gold medal bout, Nitesh went down 1-7 against Mohammad Hadi Saravi of Iran and settled for silver. In the 82 kg category, Prince dominated Didar of Turkmenistan with a 10-1 victory, while in the 67 kg bout, Sachin defeated Abdumalik of Uzbekistan 9-4 to win bronze. With these results, Indian wrestlers finished with a total of five medals in the Greco-Roman category.
