Inspired by winning the prestigious Gaddar Award, producer Boosam Ravindranath is gearing up to begin his second film soon. His debut short film Vanajeevi Ramaiah, based on the life of Daripalli Ramaiah—popularly known as “Chettla Ramaiah”—beautifully portrays his mission of planting and protecting trees. A recipient of the Padma Shri from the Government of India, Ramaiah’s life was brought to screen under the direction of Vemuganti with the tagline “Vruksho Rakshati Rakshitah.” The 40-minute short film, produced under the BR Movies banner, won the First Best Short Film award in the Short Films category from the Telangana Government, along with a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, drawing attention across both Telugu states.
Encouraged by the success of his debut, Ravindranath is now actively working on his second project. Apart from being a producer, he represents Proddatur in Kadapa district as an MPTC and is also a real estate businessman. His passion for cinema led him to even act in a small role in his first film. He expressed gratitude to senior actor Brahmaji and the entire team for their support. Ravindranath also shared that receiving appreciation from megastar Chiranjeevi and former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu gave him immense confidence. Recalling his meeting with Chiranjeevi, he said the actor’s encouraging words strengthened his dream of making a film like Tagore in the future.
