

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government will introduce a special system to control food adulteration. He stated that, similar to existing mechanisms like Eagle and Hydra, a new framework will be established after studying anti adulteration laws implemented across the country to ensure strict enforcement.
Speaking at an event marking one year of the fine rice distribution scheme benefiting 3.39 crore people, he said the initiative was launched to replace coarse rice that was not widely consumed. He added that farmers are being encouraged to grow fine rice varieties with a ₹500 per quintal bonus. The government also aims to improve quality education and nutrition for students while promoting crop diversification among farmers.
