Satya Krishna, a well-known character artist in the Telugu film industry, has carved a niche for herself with memorable roles in films like “Bommarillu,” “Vinayakudu,” “Devadas,” and “Most Eligible Bachelor.” Initially trained in hotel management and employed with the Taj Group, she entered the film industry by chance and went on to build a successful acting career. In a recent interview, she shared candid insights about the realities within the industry, particularly addressing the issue of the casting couch.
Speaking on the matter, she stated that such issues are not limited to the film industry but exist across various fields. She emphasized that while attraction is natural, women must have the courage to say “no” when boundaries are crossed. Although she did not face such situations personally, she acknowledged witnessing struggles faced by others, especially those who feel cinema is their only career option. She stressed that talent will always create opportunities and warned against compromising for roles. Her remarks have now gone viral on social media, inspiring newcomers, especially young women, to prioritize self-respect and confidence.
