The IPL 2026 season will kick off in two days at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In view of this, Bangalore traffic police have issued important traffic guidelines to ensure smooth travel for the public. The guidelines cover the RCB vs SRH match on March 28 and RCB vs CSK on April 5.
Strict parking rules have been implemented around the stadium. Parking is completely prohibited on main roads near the stadium, including Queens Road, MG Road, Link Road, Kubban Road, Saint Marks Road, Museum Road, Kasturba Road, Central Street, Lavelle Road, Vittal Malya Road, and internal roads of Kubban Park. Violators will face fines and towing.
Spectators are advised to park vehicles at designated areas such as Saint Joseph Indian High School, Saint Joseph European School grounds, Freedom Park MLCP, Garuda Mall, UB City, and the first floor of the Traffic and Transit Management Center (TTMC). Entry and exit gates, VIP-only gates, and cab and auto pickup/drop points have also been announced by the police.
