Tirupati: The one-member commission has requested the Andhra Pradesh government to extend the deadline for the investigation into the adulterated ghee case. Commission Chairman Dinesh Kumar has urged the government to extend the deadline until April 30, stating that additional time is required to complete the inquiry in a comprehensive manner.
The government had constituted the one-member commission on February 20 and directed it to submit its report within 45 days. However, the commission noted that completing the investigation within the stipulated timeframe has become challenging due to consecutive holidays and the unavailability of several individuals involved in the inquiry. In this context, the commission has sought an extension of the deadline.
The commission chairman emphasized the need for more time to finalize and submit the report. It is reported that the government has responded positively to the request. An official decision regarding the extension of the deadline is expected to be announced soon.
