Disturbing statistics have emerged from the national capital, with 807 people reported missing in the first 15 days of January 2026, averaging nearly 54 cases per day. Official data shows that 509 of the missing are women and girls, making up 63 percent of total cases, while 191 are minors, raising serious concerns about public safety and security in the city.
Further worrying is that 572 individuals remain untraced, with only 235 cases resolved so far. The data underscores the urgent need for enhanced surveillance, faster response systems, and improved coordination among law enforcement agencies to track missing persons and prevent such incidents. Authorities confirm that intensified efforts are underway to locate the missing, as public concern continues to grow over the rising numbers.
