Andhra Pradesh has finally received relief from the threat of a low-pressure system. The low pressure that formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka intensified into a deep low-pressure area by Tuesday evening. According to the India Meteorological Department, it is likely to move west-northwest and turn into a cyclonic storm over the southwest Bay of Bengal by Wednesday.
Officials said the system may shift towards the Tamil Nadu coast by Friday, bringing widespread rainfall across Tamil Nadu. However, weather experts have clarified that Andhra Pradesh is unlikely to experience any major impact from this system.
The Amaravati weather centre stated that dry weather conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the state over the next three days. In some areas, dense fog may occur during early morning hours.
By Saturday, light to moderate rainfall may be experienced in a few places across South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, while cloudy conditions are likely in other regions. Due to these changes, a slight reduction in cold intensity across the state is also expected.
