Indian Railways has promoted three members of the 2025 Indian Women’s Cricket World Cup-winning team – Pratika Rawal, Sneh Rana, and Renuka Singh Thakur – to the prestigious post of Officer on Special Duty (Sports) in Group-A cadre, ensuring lifelong financial security and administrative responsibilities.
Recognising their pivotal role in India’s historic World Cup triumph, the Railway Ministry has conferred this special promotion, marking another significant step in honouring and empowering women in sports.
Already employed with Indian Railways, the trio will now enjoy Group-A rank, salary, pension benefits, and take on key administrative duties in sports development and training divisions.
