Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has issued a stern warning to red sandalwood smugglers, declaring that the government will take brutal action against those continuing illegal trade. During his visit to the red sandalwood depot in Tirupati, Kalyan was briefed on ongoing smuggling activities — and his reaction was swift and furious.
In his trademark fiery style, Kalyan warned smugglers, saying, “Thaata teesesi nilabedatham”, emphasizing that if they don’t stop their activities voluntarily, the government will crack down mercilessly. He announced that within a year, special task zones and dedicated teams will be formed to completely eliminate red sandalwood smuggling. “Once the operation begins, the sanders will be put to sword,” he warned bluntly.
Kalyan also reminded offenders that the state has the legal authority to seize and liquidate the properties of those involved in smuggling. Known for his no-nonsense approach, the Deputy CM’s fiery statement has sent shockwaves among smugglers and reinforced the government’s commitment to protecting Andhra Pradesh’s valuable red sandalwood reserves.
