A worrying situation has emerged in Pakistan as cases of the dangerous Mpox virus have been reported, causing panic among health authorities. Recently, seven infants lost their lives, and officials confirmed that four of them were infected with the virus. The cases have been identified in Khairpur, located in the Sindh province, raising alarms over a possible wider spread.
According to the health department, the affected infants were admitted to hospitals in Khairpur with symptoms such as skin lesions, flu-like conditions, and high fever before they passed away. Experts warn that Mpox can spread through close contact with infected humans or animals, making containment measures crucial. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and urging people to follow safety precautions.
