

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s upcoming rural sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchibabu, is already making waves even before its theatrical release. Reports suggest that the global OTT platform Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for an astonishing ₹130 crore. The deal covers five languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, highlighting Ram Charan’s immense global appeal. The film is expected to hit Netflix four weeks after its theatrical release.
The deal also includes a special bonus clause. If Peddi turns into a box office blockbuster, Netflix is prepared to pay an additional ₹20 crore, potentially taking the total digital rights value to ₹150 crore. Starring Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine and featuring music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, the film’s glimpses and songs have already generated massive anticipation. Scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on April 30, Ram Charan plays a wrestler and cricketer in this rural sports drama, and fans are eager to see the records the film will set.
