Telecom companies have once again raised the financial burden on consumers by increasing minimum monthly recharge prices. Along with one-month plans, tariffs for two-month and three-month recharge packs have also been revised upward. The inclusion of OTT and other bundled subscriptions has further pushed up the overall cost of these plans.
At present, users who require at least 1GB of data per day are forced to spend close to ₹300 for a basic monthly plan. Those with higher data requirements need to shell out even more, leading to a noticeable rise in monthly mobile expenses for regular users.
It is worth noting that telecom operators had already implemented minor tariff hikes over the past two to three months. The latest increase has added further pressure on household budgets. With mobile data consumption expected to grow in the coming months, consumers are increasingly concerned about future pricing decisions by telecom companies.
