

On the occasion of the New Year, State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited Yadagirigutta along with his family and offered special prayers to Sri Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. The minister prayed for good rainfall, rich crops and a happy and prosperous life for the people of the state. He also wished that the welfare schemes and development programs being implemented by the people’s government continue smoothly without any hurdles. These details were shared by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar through his Twitter account on Thursday.
On the same day, the minister also unveiled the poster for the National Road Safety Month–2026, which begins at Yadagirigutta. Speaking on the occasion, he said that reducing road accidents is the main goal and that road safety will be taken up as a key agenda throughout January 2026. He announced that Road Safety Month will be observed from January 1 to January 31, with a 31-day action plan focused on road safety awareness and measures. Government Whip Birla Ilaiah, District Collector Hanumantharao, transport department officials and others participated in the program.
