India Secures Second Win in Candidates Chess Tournament

Indian Grandmaster Vaishali registered her second consecutive win at the Candidates Chess Tournament and climbed to second place in the standings. In the seventh round of the women’s section, Vaishali defeated China’s Tan Zhongyi, showcasing a strong performance with the white pieces and securing victory in 51 moves.

In the Open section, Indian GM R. Praggnanandhaa held Fabiano Caruana of the United States to a draw in the seventh round. With this result, Praggnanandhaa is now tied for third place with 3.5 points, continuing his steady performance in the prestigious tournament.
