During his election campaign in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi leveled severe criticism against both the LDF and the BJP. He alleged that the LDF maintains ties with forces that perpetrate attacks against minorities. He further claimed that the LDF government, led by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has entered into a secret pact with the BJP.
Rahul Gandhi urged the public to recognize the nexus existing between the BJP and the LDF. He asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's failure to address certain key issues during his election campaign serves as proof of this alliance. He remarked that the LDF is being steered by an "invisible force"—one that is steeped in communalism.
Speaking at rallies held in the Alappuzha, Kattappana, and Cochin regions, he predicted that the LDF would be significantly weakened following the elections. He noted that the fact that former CPM leaders are now joining their ranks signals a shift within the LDF. He added that the relationship between the BJP, the RSS, and the CPM is already a matter of public knowledge.
Rahul questioned why Modi, while constantly criticizing him and the Congress party, refrains from speaking out against the corruption plaguing the LDF government. He alleged that Chief Minister Vijayan is intimidated by Modi, fearing for the safety and security of his own family. Furthermore, he criticized the government for the lack of job opportunities within the state, which compels the youth to migrate abroad in search of employment.
