

A Sports Hub Board meeting was held at the ITC Kohenur in Banjara Hills, attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with board members including Upasana Konidela, Kavya Maran, Sanjeev Goenka, C. Shashidhar, Jayesh Ranjan, and Sports MD Sony Bala Devi. During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized transforming Hyderabad into a role model for sports development in India.
He stated that the government aims to develop the Gachibowli Stadium into one of the best sports venues in the world. A foundation stone for the stadium’s development will be laid on June 2, and an action plan will be finalized soon. The CM also proposed world-class facilities including a helipad to enable direct helicopter access from the airport for athletes. He assured full autonomy to the board and highlighted long-term goals, including hosting global events like the Olympics and surpassing sports infrastructure standards seen in countries like China.
