Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with NDA leaders, calling the day historic as the Amaravati Capital Bill is set to be approved in the Rajya Sabha. He stated that the bill is being passed in Parliament with the support of the Central government and highlighted the swift progress made after the Assembly resolution was sent. Chandrababu emphasized that Amaravati is an emotional sentiment for the people of Andhra Pradesh and thanked the Centre for extending its support in ensuring the bill’s approval.
Criticizing the previous government, Chandrababu alleged that Amaravati was neglected for five years and accused former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of showing hostility toward the capital. He urged people to celebrate the occasion like a festival in every village and express gratitude to the Centre. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their support and assured that development will progress steadily. Ministers Nadendla Manohar and BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari (Madhav reference) also welcomed the bill’s approval, calling it a significant achievement under Chandrababu’s leadership.
