The Telangana Congress has announced a Maha Dharna in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 6, demanding that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao resign from his MLA post. The party alleged that KCR has been drawing a salary for around 1,000 days without effectively performing his role as Leader of the Opposition or regularly attending the Assembly. Congress leaders, MLAs, MLCs and other public representatives are expected to participate in the protest.
As part of the preparations, a meeting will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. under the leadership of Hyderabad and Rangareddy district in-charge ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Sridhar Babu. DCC presidents, MLAs, constituency in-charges and other senior leaders from both districts will attend the meeting. The leaders will discuss the arrangements and action plan to ensure the Maha Dharna on Sunday is held successfully.
