India’s LPG tanker vessel Green Asha, successfully navigated the strategically crucial Hormuz Strait in West Asia. Despite ongoing tensions in the region, Iran has been allowing Indian vessels safe passage. Green Asha the ninth Indian tanker, has now crossed the vital maritime route and is heading towards India.
So far, Indian vessels including Shivalik, Nanda Devi, Jag Laadki, Pine Gas, Jag Vasant, BW Tyr, BW Elm, and Green Sanvi have safely traversed the Hormuz Strait. Among them BW Tyr and BW Elm transported 94,000 tonnes of LPG while Pine Gas and Jag Vasant carried 92,612 tonnes last month to India.
