Malayalam star Tovino Thomas is leading the big-budget film Pallichattambi, produced by Noufael, Brijesh, Chaitanya, and Chanakya under Worldwide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainments. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the movie also stars Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. Scheduled for a pan-India release on April 10th in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, the film has generated high expectations. Tovino shared that the story, inspired by 1950s Kerala, focuses on socio-political themes while emphasizing humanity and equality. He gained weight and changed his appearance to suit the hero’s strong persona. Tovino praised the producers and music director Jakes Bejoy for maintaining the film’s emotional depth and quality. He emphasized that the film is meant for family audiences and carries a universal message without portraying any religion negatively.
Heroine Kayadu Lohar expressed that Pallichattambi is a meaningful project compared to her earlier work. She plays Rebecca, a grounded and intellectual character, unlike glamorous roles. To prepare for the Malayalam film, she attended language workshops, studied the script carefully, and followed the director’s guidance for authenticity. Kayadu appeared in two different looks and said working alongside Tovino was inspiring, helping her elevate her acting skills. She noted the film is suitable for all family audiences, with no category restrictions, and is made purely with a heartfelt intention.
