The cold wave has been intensifying across Telangana. In particular, Adilabad district is experiencing cold winds even during the daytime, causing concern. The temperature there dropped to 8.7 degrees Celsius, marking the lowest of the season. At the same time, significant cold was recorded in other parts of the state as well. Medak registered 11°C, Hanumakonda 12°C, Patancheru 12.6°C, Hayathnagar 13°C, Rajendranagar 14.5°C, Nizamabad 14.8°C, and Dundigal 15.8°C. With this, dense fog has been covering many areas during early morning and evening hours, and people are seen shivering due to the biting cold.
The Meteorological Department has already issued warnings, stating that the cold wave intensity is likely to increase further in the next two to three days. Due to the influence of low-pressure winds coming from North India, night temperatures may drop even more, according to forecasts. Authorities have advised senior citizens and children to take necessary precautions for their health. Weather experts recommend wearing warm clothing when stepping out early in the morning and avoiding spending long hours in areas exposed to cold winds. As this cold wave continues across the state, people are making heating arrangements at home to cope with the dipping temperatures.
