On Friday, HYDRA secured 13 acres of government land at Nizampet village in Bachupally mandal of Medchal–Malkajgiri district. The land, estimated to be worth around ₹1,300 crore, falls under Survey Numbers 186, 191, and 334. Acting on a request from Bachupally mandal revenue officials who flagged ongoing encroachments and sought immediate protection, HYDRA intervened to prevent further illegal occupation.
Following the directions of HYDRA Commissioner A. V. Ranganath, HYDRA officials, along with revenue authorities, conducted a field inspection. It was confirmed that 4 acres of government land in Survey No. 334 had already been encroached upon, with permanent residences constructed. Without disturbing these residences, HYDRA removed temporary sheds erected on the remaining 13 acres, installed fencing around the protected land, and put up official HYDRA boards to prevent future encroachments.
