Following the recent bomb blasts in New Delhi, Hyderabad has been placed on high alert. Security has been strengthened across the city, especially at railway stations, bus stands, and the Shamshabad airport. At Secunderabad Railway Station, railway police along with bomb and dog squads conducted thorough checks. Similar inspections are being carried out at religious places, tourist locations, and shopping malls. Police have urged citizens to report any suspicious items immediately. Surveillance at hotels has also been intensified.
Concerns have grown as several past blast investigations have traced links back to Hyderabad. Recently, the NIA and police teams from different states carried out searches in the city, leading to the detention of certain suspects. A few days ago, the Gujarat ATS arrested Dr. Ahmed Mohiyuddin Syed from Rajendranagar on terror-related charges and seized several materials from his residence.
The powerful explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi where a parked car blew up resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. The incident has triggered a nationwide high alert across major metro cities, including Hyderabad.
