Godavari Water Released Toward Krishna Delta Again

From the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme in Polavaram mandal of Eluru district, 2,100 cusecs of Godavari water were released on Monday into the right canal of the Polavaram project, according to Executive Engineer Asubabu.

He stated that, as per the directions of higher officials, six motor pumps have been activated to supply water for irrigation needs in the Krishna Delta.

For the past ten days, the water level in the Godavari had remained around 14 meters, allowing them to operate only two pumps. With improved water levels now, more pumps have been brought into operation to ensure an adequate water supply to the delta.
