The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken strict action against IndiGo Airlines. Due to recent flight service disruptions, the aviation regulator imposed a heavy fine of Rs. 22.2 crore on the airline. The DGCA stated that operational issues and inconvenience to passengers led to this decision.
Along with the fine, IndiGo has been directed to submit a bank guarantee of Rs. 50 crore to ensure such problems do not happen again. The DGCA emphasized that passenger comfort and safe flight operations are top priorities.
The regulator has warned IndiGo to improve its services and strictly follow all rules. This action is being seen as a strong message to all airlines operating in the country.
