The cold wave has intensified across Telangana, with minimum temperatures dropping sharply. Weather officials warn that temperatures may fall to around 8.5°C in some regions. Experts note that Telangana continues to remain in the core cold-wave zone this season as well.
Due to the severe cold, cases of cold, cough, fever, respiratory issues, and skin dryness are rising. Doctors advise children, the elderly, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and outdoor workers to take extra precautions. They recommend wearing warm clothing, drinking warm water, maintaining hygiene, and keeping inhalers handy for those with breathing issues.
The weather department has forecast that the cold conditions will persist for the next few days. Orange alerts have been issued for Mancherial, Bhupalpally, Adilabad, and Asifabad districts, while the rest of the state remains under a yellow alert. Dense fog in agency areas up to morning hours is adding to the cold wave intensity.
