N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed finance department officials to formulate effective strategies to implement welfare and development programs despite the state facing significant financial challenges and a large revenue deficit. During a review meeting, the Chief Minister instructed department secretaries to assess the progress of projects under their purview, identify priority initiatives, and ensure they receive top funding allocation. He emphasized the need for both micro and macro-level planning to achieve the targeted Gross State Domestic Product growth rate of 15 percent, ensuring that these plans are executed effectively at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is ensuring uninterrupted supply of resources such as water and electricity to agriculture and industrial sectors to boost productivity. Despite financial constraints, he noted that electricity charges have not been increased, and the government is bearing an additional burden of ₹4,600 crore due to past decisions. He stressed that revenue-generating departments must meet their targets without burdening the public. Highlighting the importance of completing key projects, he said they would create wealth and accelerate development with central support. He also reaffirmed the implementation of welfare schemes as per schedule, including the operation of 269 Anna Canteens to provide food to the poor.
