In Amaravati, intense discussions are underway within alliance parties over candidate selection for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections scheduled next month. With all four seats expected to go to the alliance, internal negotiations have gained momentum. Based on strength, two seats are likely for Telugu Desam Party, and one each for Bharatiya Janata Party and Jana Sena Party. However, TDP is reportedly pushing for three seats, intensifying the competition.
While several aspirants are in the fray across parties, new names emerging from Jana Sena have added intrigue to the race. In the TDP quota, sitting MP Sana Satish Babu is likely to secure a second term. Other prominent names under consideration include Krishna Ella, Ramakrishna, Kilari Rajesh, Sharif, and Koneru Suresh. Meanwhile, BJP is evaluating K. Annamalai and Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, while Jana Sena is considering Lingamaneni Ramesh and T. G. Vishwa Prasad. With multiple contenders and social equations at play, the contest for four seats has turned highly competitive, with clarity expected only at the last moment.
