Breaking: VC Sajjanar Takes Charge as New Hyderabad Police Commissioner

VC Sajjanar, one of Telangana’s most recognized and respected police officers, has officially taken charge as the new Hyderabad Police Commissioner.Sajjanar became a household name after the widely discussed encounter of the Disha rape and murder case culprits, which drew national attention. Later, as the MD of RTC, he carried forward his strong leadership, particularly spearheading awareness drives against the rising menace of online betting and gambling.

Now, in a significant career move, Sajjanar returns to mainstream policing. This appointment is considered a promotion from his earlier role as Cyberabad Commissioner (before 2021). His leadership is expected to bring impactful changes in law enforcement, especially with the upcoming polling season around the corner.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Commissioner CV Anand has been transferred as CS in the Home Department.
