Leading e-commerce company Amazon is reportedly preparing for another round of large-scale layoffs. According to a report by Asia Business Outlook, nearly 14,000 employees could be affected next month. The layoffs, expected in May, may impact employees across Amazon Web Services (AWS), retail, and human resources departments. However, the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding this development.
By the end of 2025, Amazon had already laid off around 14,000 employees, followed by an additional 16,000 job cuts in January this year. Other companies that have recently carried out significant layoffs include Oracle, Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services, and Accenture. Meanwhile, Meta Platforms is also reportedly considering reducing around 15,000 jobs.
