During a meeting held in Hyderabad with representatives of corporate companies, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy offered key suggestions regarding the utilization of CSR funds. He stated that expenditure directed toward social development should be viewed not merely as an expense, but rather as a partnership. He suggested that companies select a sector of their choice—from priority areas such as education, healthcare, and water resource conservation—and utilize their CSR funds accordingly. He noted that if the government and corporate entities work together, students in Telangana can be equipped with world-class skills. The Chief Minister clarified that the expenditure incurred on education is regarded as an investment in future generations.
He emphasized that, given the large number of students in the state—particularly in Hyderabad—providing quality education is a collective responsibility. He suggested that companies prioritize utilizing their CSR funds for the development of the specific regions where they conduct their operations. He mentioned that, in light of the lack of a proper framework for CSR utilization until now, a Special Chief Secretary has been appointed to oversee the process. The Chief Minister commended organizations such as the Raheja Group, Ramky Group, and Yashoda Foundation for having already pledged substantial funds toward the advancement of education. The corporate representatives, in turn, welcomed this initiative and expressed their readiness to extend their cooperation in the future across sectors such as education, healthcare, and the preservation of heritage structures.
