Iran appears to have brushed aside the 48-hour ultimatum issued by the United States regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite warnings from the US, Iran has not indicated any change in its stance. Tehran has warned that it could deliver a big surprise to the US if pressure continues to mount. It also hinted at possible attacks on US military bases in the West Asia region.
Iran further stated that any attempt to target its assets or territory would trigger severe consequences, describing it as opening the gates of hell. Meanwhile, the US has reiterated that failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could lead to strong retaliatory action. With the deadline set to end on April 6, global attention is now focused on Iran’s next move.
