Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took key decisions during a review meeting of the Revenue Department. He directed officials to complete 'Re-survey 2.0' by March 2027 and distribute a total of 1.12 crore new Pattadar passbooks. While the survey has already been completed in 6,976 villages, the distribution of 22.79 lakh passbooks is currently underway in 5,717 villages. He instructed that the remaining 9 lakh passbooks in the remaining 1,259 villages be distributed by July of this year. Furthermore, he emphasized that the entire process must be completed by March of next year, ensuring that the passbooks are issued without any scope for errors.
Similarly, in a move aimed at providing relief to lakhs of families, a decision was taken to remove 1.37 lakh acres of 'Village Service Inam' lands from the prohibited list under Section 22-A. He also directed officials to formulate a new law to grant relief to another 1 lakh acres of Service Inam lands. The Chief Minister stated that these issues had escalated due to the negligence of the previous government, and the current administration is now taking measures to ensure justice for the people.
