Heavy security arrangements have been made for the upcoming IPL matches at Uppal Stadium. Uppal DCP Suresh stated that around 2,000 police personnel have been deployed for matches scheduled from the 5th to the 22nd of this month. Personnel from law and order, traffic, security wing, AR, and mounted police units have been assigned duties in and around the stadium. Special She Teams in civil dress have also been deployed to ensure the safety of women spectators.
A total of 430 CCTV cameras have been installed inside and outside the stadium for continuous monitoring. Strict security checks will be conducted for everyone entering the venue. Five ambulances and four fire engines have been kept ready for emergency situations. Officials advised that only ticket holders should come to the stadium to avoid unnecessary crowding. Dedicated parking spaces have been arranged for spectators. Visitors from Habsiguda can use Penguin Grounds and TGIALA premises, while those from Ramanthapur can park at DSL area.
To reduce traffic congestion, spectators are encouraged to use metro rail or RTC buses. Heavy vehicles such as trucks, lorries, tippers, and private buses will not be allowed towards Uppal Stadium on match days. Traffic diversions have been planned: vehicles from Ghatkesar will be diverted towards Nagole and LB Nagar, those from LB Nagar will be redirected at Nagole Metro Station, and vehicles from Tarnaka, Habsiguda, and Ramanthapur will be diverted towards Nacharam and Cherlapally. Travelers heading towards Warangal are advised to use the ORR route.
