PM Fasal Bima Deadline Revised, Farmers Get Extra Time

The Central Government has extended the crop insurance registration deadline under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) until August 15, providing significant relief to farmers. The extension follows requests from farmers as delayed monsoon rains caused by El Niño disrupted Kharif sowing activities in several parts of the country.

Officials said the revised deadline will help more farmers complete the insurance registration process and secure financial protection against crop losses caused by natural calamities. Farmers who have not yet enrolled are advised to complete the registration before August 15 to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits.
