A large-scale protest was organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Dharna Chowk near Lower Tank Bund in Hyderabad on Sunday against alleged examination paper leaks and irregularities in the education system. Hundreds of students and unemployed youth participated in the demonstration, demanding accountability and reforms. Renowned education reformer and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk attended the event and called for comprehensive changes to ensure transparency and fairness in national examinations. Protesters also demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Addressing the gathering, Sonam Wangchuk emphasized the need for a “fear-free India” where students can raise their voices against injustice without hesitation. Participants highlighted concerns over alleged paper leaks in examinations such as NEET, NET, and other competitive tests, stating that such incidents severely impact the future of millions of students. Organizers said the movement aims to promote accountability and strengthen the integrity of the education system. The campaign, which has already held protests in several cities, is expected to conclude with a major demonstration in New Delhi on June 20.
