The Telangana Assembly will resume on Wednesday after a three-day break, with the ongoing session scheduled to conclude on the same day. A short-duration discussion on Section 22A prohibited lands is set to take place in the House. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to make a statement on the issue and explain the steps being taken by the government. The discussion is also likely to cover alleged irregularities under the Dharani land records system and difficulties being faced in land registrations. The government is also considering the possibility of ordering a high-level inquiry into the 22A issue.
The Assembly will also take up a short-duration discussion on the impact of El Niño and preventive measures to address its possible effects. Members are expected to discuss weather conditions, rainfall, water availability and the impact on agriculture. Issues such as drought and water scarcity, along with measures to mitigate their effects, are also likely to come up during the discussion.
