The Telangana government has extended the deadline for applications for new Cheyutha pensions by one more day. Following the directions of Minister D. Seethakka, eligible beneficiaries can now submit their applications until 5 p.m. on September 16. The extension was announced in view of the difficulties faced by applicants due to three consecutive holidays. As per the original schedule, the deadline was set to end on September 15.
SERP CEO Divya Devarajan issued instructions to district officials regarding the extension. Officials said 5.78 lakh applications have been received so far for the new Cheyutha pensions. Eligible beneficiaries who have not yet applied have been advised to make use of the additional time before the deadline.
