Discussions about US President Donald Trump’s health have resurfaced after an incident at an election rally in Daytona Beach, Florida. During the event, Trump briefly paused his speech after experiencing discomfort in one of his eyes. He used a tissue dampened with water to wipe it before resuming his address. “Something got in my eye… take a look,” he reportedly told members of his staff. After wiping his eye, Trump said he felt some relief and remarked that eye drops would have been helpful. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
The earlier cancellation of campaign events scheduled in Kansas and Iowa also prompted questions about Trump’s health. However, Trump maintained that his health was excellent and later went ahead with both rallies. The latest eye-related incident has drawn mixed reactions online, with some users raising questions about his health and others commenting on the episode. Meanwhile, the upcoming US midterm elections are set to be significant for Trump. Voting will take place for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and roughly one-third of the seats in the Senate.
