The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a serious view of reports that some private coaching centres are allegedly violating prescribed regulations. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting with officials and directed them to take appropriate action against coaching centres that violate the rules. Officials informed the Chief Minister that some centres were allegedly pressuring candidates preparing for competitive examinations to participate in politically motivated protests and agitations for the personal interests of their managements.
The government made it clear that private coaching centres must function in accordance with the guidelines prescribed under GO No. 9 and the Andhra Pradesh Coaching Institutions Regulation Rules, 2026. Chandrababu directed officials to initiate legal action against centres that involve candidates in political protests or agitations in violation of the guidelines. The field-level administration was asked to ensure strict compliance by coaching centres. Candidates were also advised not to succumb to any pressure and to focus on their careers and competitive examinations, while bringing any difficulties to the notice of authorities.
