Voter Registration Deadline Extended.. Key Decision by Election Commission

The Election Commission of India has extended the deadline for the voter list revision process in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The commission said the decision was taken following requests from political parties. As part of the revision exercise, officials will verify voter details, facilitate the inclusion of eligible voters and address errors or objections. Claims and objections are expected to be resolved in the first week of November before the final electoral rolls are prepared.

The final voter lists for both states are scheduled to be published on November 9, according to the Election Commission. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door visits to help ensure that eligible citizens are not left out of the registration process. Special assistance will be provided to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Voters are advised to verify their details and submit correction requests if they find any discrepancies in their information.
