Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Batter Hyderabad, Disrupt Normal Life

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Hyderabad, causing widespread disruptions across the city. Several trees were uprooted, while signboards and hoardings were blown away due to intense gusts. Power supply was interrupted in many localities, leaving several residential areas in darkness throughout the night.

The heavy downpour also led to waterlogging in several low-lying areas, affecting traffic movement and daily activities. Teams from the Strategic Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and GHMC worked overnight to clear flooded roads, remove fallen trees, and restore normalcy in affected areas.
