A spiritual event organised under the auspices of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Uganda at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala, has reportedly achieved three Guinness World Records. The event aimed to showcase Sanatana Dharma, Indian devotional traditions and the glory of Lord Venkateswara to a global audience. Devotees gathered in large numbers to participate in activities celebrating their faith and cultural heritage, bringing together members of the Indian community and followers of Lord Venkateswara in Uganda.
According to the organisers, the three records were achieved through the largest gathering of devotees forming a sacred tilak symbol, chanting the Govinda mantra and assembling dressed as Lord Venkateswara to collectively represent the deity’s form. The organisers described the achievement as a proud moment for the Indian diaspora, Telugu-speaking communities in Uganda and devotees of Lord Venkateswara worldwide. The event also highlighted the reach of Indian spiritual traditions beyond the country’s borders. The specific record titles and official Guinness World Records confirmations should be checked before publication.
