

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has called for further strengthening the state’s longstanding partnership with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). He met Prince Rahim Aga Khan V at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in education, healthcare, urban development and community welfare. The Governor highlighted AKDN’s initiatives in heritage conservation, urban renewal, women-led development and employment generation, and noted that the Aga Khan Academy near Hyderabad has been nurturing young minds and future leaders.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan V briefed the Governor on AKDN’s development and welfare initiatives in Telangana and across India, highlighting the benefits of its programmes for local communities. The Governor also presented him with a Cheriyal Nakashi painting depicting traditional rural life in Telangana and a Karimnagar silver filigree veena featuring a Hansa (swan) motif, showcasing the state’s rich artistic heritage.
